M Y   S T O R Y

My name is Steve Burnes, and I have been photographing the people and places of the Tampa Bay Area since 1997. While I work full-time as a high school teacher, photography is my creative outlet and passion. I specialize in portrait and sports photography, but I also find joy in capturing the beauty of nature and the stories within street photography. My goal is to create memorable images that capture moments as they unfold, telling stories through my lens and producing art that resonates with others.

Over the years, my passion has grown into a rewarding side business where I capture special moments for seniors, graduates, couples, and families through portrait sessions. I also devote a lot of time to sports photography. On most nights, you’ll find me at a local high school game, camera in hand, capturing dynamic shots of our talented student-athletes. These images are shared on my website, where athletes and their families can download and enjoy them at no cost.

Living in the Tampa Bay area offers incredible photography opportunities. During the summer, I’m often out photographing nature, especially Florida’s stunning lightning storms. If you’re interested in purchasing a print of my work, please feel free to reach out.
